Mustang Sally

Mustang Sally had seen better days
By the time our paths had crossed
She was definitely set in her own ways
And didn't like being bossed
But those eyes spoke to my soul
And as she approached me in the field
From that moment a major role
We would play in each others' destinies fulfilled
She taught me to look past the present
I taught her that humans can care
And 10 years of life were more pleasant
Because each of us was there
Now Mustang Sally is gone
And more losses I have had in my life
But I know I will never be alone
I have new friends that stand by me in strife
But here's to you my Mustang Sally
Running free in fields of green
We will once again to the other's side rally
When old friends can again be seen

I drew this piece not to be uber realistic, but to be an expression of a memory of a dear friend. She is done enough for now, but may be worked a little more in the future. I haven't decided on a background yet, but right now I call her finished (so she isn't in my WIP account)
